Let’s be real, not every retreat needs a rigid schedule or a list of must-do’s. Our Mindful Pilates Retreat in June 2025 was proof that the best experiences come when women feel empowered to do what feels good and skip what doesn’t.
With just three incredible women Aeysha, Jenney, and Janine, this retreat had the perfect blend of structure and spontaneity. Think: reformer Pilates in the morning, cocktails at the villa by sunset, and the freedom to pivot the plan if something better came along (like ditching a pre-paid dinner to check out a hot bar in Seminyak, unapologetically grown).
Our wellness escapes are known for strong programming, but what set this retreat apart was how confidently these women owned the experience. No “you must attend every workshop.” No guilt if they skipped a class. Just real flexibility.
They wanted structure, but not pressure. Options, but not obligation.
And that’s exactly what they got.
Our base? The beautiful Villa Ghana by Pramana, where smoothies started the day, and dinners — sometimes chef-made, sometimes spontaneous beach outings ended it. Mat Pilates in the garden. Women’s circles in the living room. Brunches full of belly laughs. That’s how retreat life should feel.
Yes, they showed up for the work and loved it. All Reformer Pilates classes took place at Sunset Pilates Bali Legian Studio, including a Pilates Foundation Workshop with Rina and a fiery HIIT-style reformer class.
They came curious, despite being pretty advanced in the Pilates world. Eager to learn, not to prove. It wasn’t about “fitness goals.” It was about feeling connected to their bodies again and walking away with new techniques they’ll keep for life.
One of the extracurricular highlights? A half-day retreat within the retreat that began with an infrared sauna and cold plunge session followed by blissful reflexology at Kaiana Spa.
It was a gentle recharge, restoring circulation, soothing tension, and creating space for stillness. The kind of reset you feel the next day, not just physically but energetically.
In a world that rarely gives us time to pause, workshops like the Mindfulness & Meditation session with Nikki Heyder and the Women’s Circle guided by Anouk offered a powerful reset.
They created space to breathe, move gently, and ask the kind of questions we usually rush past, like “How am I really feeling?”
Bali did its thing. Sun and salt at Padang Padang Beach. Culture and awe at Uluwatu Temple, complete with a Kecak Dance at sunset. And dinners? Wherever they wanted. From Jimbaran Fish Market seafood feasts to impromptu Seminyak outings, the group made choices that matched their mood.
They even cooked their own meals during a lively Balinese cooking class, a hands-on highlight full of flavour and laughter.
It was the energy. This time, our girls weren’t afraid to change plans, skip things, or treat themselves. They embodied what our Mindful Pilates Retreats are all about. Self-trust, freedom, and showing up for yourself, exactly as you are.
